Massey Home Builders, Inc. was formed in 1989 as a family based business.  Jack had started his profession in home building and remodeling when he finished high school in 1969.  Jack has always enjoyed working with wood so he was a natural with this business.

Jack is a self taught home builder that gives God the glory for his talent.  As a family business, we all have our own job to do.  Chris, our son, has helped his daddy on the job site through out his growing up.  He became part of the company after he finished his education.  Steve, our son-in-law, was drafted when he married our daughter, Rebecca.  Rebecca and Chris’ wife, Cathy, help in the office with all the book work that is part of a company.  Helen got her real estate license in 1992.  She started marketing the homes along with the office work that keeps the company running.  Our grandchildren also have their jobs to do… they advertise for us and wear t-shirts with “Let my POPPOP build for you!” on them.  So you see we are truly a family owned business with a hands on approach that helps the jobs go smooth.

Massey Home Builders has built many custom homes and also builds specs.  We offer a large array of extras in the homes that are our standards.  Hardwood flooring, ceramic tile, crown molding, upgraded lighting package, upgraded carpet, security systems, fully sodded lawns with landscaping, mail boxes, and much more.  We are also wiling to take the time with the customer to customize the home for them.  We like the fact that these are important decisions.

Massey Home Builders has been in the Windstone subdivision since the beginning.  We have enjoyed the challenge of the new concept and we are now the exclusive builder for the subdivision.  It has given us a chance to explore new avenues and adventures of home building.  Our model home won Best in Mississippi in 2004 and we are looking forward to building a new model soon.

We are a full service company, in the fact, that Helen can help you with the sell of your existing home to deciding on a plan that will work for you.  The builders are on the job site daily overseeing the building process.  Jack builds some of the specialty items in his shop.  The mantle, bookcases, shutters, decorative window treatments on the outside of the windows, and much more is created by Jack.  Also, Jack starts with preparing the lots for the homes and Chris oversees the foundation and building of the homes.  Steve makes sure that the job sites are kept clean and things are running the way they should.  We take pride in the way our job sites are seen by the public.

Massey Home Builders has earned the Certified Professional Builder award by complying with the standards set forth by the Mississippi Housing Institute.  This title holds us to a higher standard than other builders.  We have to have continuing education and also we provide the homeowner with a Homeowners manual at the orientation before closing on the home.  This manual is a helpful addition to the home owner and gives information on maintaining the home and builder responsibilities.

Chris and Steve are very active in the Homebuilders Association.  Chris was President in 2005 and Steve is the PRESIDENT FOR 2008..  Chris HAS gone on to the state level of leadership.  We are very blessed to have such a GREAT team working with us. Steve has earned his credentials as a certified green builder in Desoto county.
